Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want Roha to be worth paying for. This policy explains how the free trial, cancellations, and refunds work. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and does not limit any rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Try before you pay
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends without paying anything. We recommend using the trial to make sure Roha is right for you.
Cancelling your subscription
- You can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings — no need to email or call.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- We don't lock you into long contracts — subscriptions are month to month.
Changed your mind
Because we offer a free trial, we generally don't refund change-of-mind cancellations for a billing period that has already started — cancelling simply stops the next charge. That said, we're a small team and we're reasonable: if you were charged unexpectedly or only just realised Roha isn't for you, email us and we'll usually sort it out.
If something goes wrong
If Roha doesn't work as it should — a fault stops you using the service, or it isn't fit for the purpose we described — you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, and nothing in this policy or our Terms takes those away.
For a minor problem, we'll fix it within a reasonable time. For a serious failure, you can cancel and we'll refund the affected period. Just tell us what happened so we can put it right.
How to request a refund
Email hello@roha.social from the address on your account and tell us what happened. We aim to reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method via Stripe and usually take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
Before you dispute a charge
If you see a charge you don't recognise or think is wrong, please email us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute, and a refund from us reaches you sooner. We're happy to help.
